EDDIE HEARN has called for an end to Mike Tyson’s proposed showdown with Logan Paul.
A shocking bout between the former undisputed heavyweight champion and YouTuber is reportedly in the works for early next year.
But promoter Eddie Hearn says the fight shouldn’t happencredit: Rex But after seeing Paul attend a less impressive exhibition with Floyd Mayweather in June, Hearn is adamant that he should not share the ring with Iron Mike.
The matchroom boxing chief told The True Geordi: “I like Floyd and Logan. I thought it was exactly a load of B.
“I thought, ‘What?’ You got a pound for a pound again against a bloc, I mean, can’t fight. It was awful, horrible to watch. Tyson and [Paul] It should not happen. But I’d like to at least find out what will happen in that fight. I keep my hand up.”
Tyson, 54, made a spectacular return to the ring last November for an exhibition bout with fellow great Roy Jones Jr. But the worst man on the planet jokingly claims that they can’t get any better than the big Paul brother if they do business wise.
When asked what he thinks he will do going forward against The Maverick, Tyson laughed and said: “Maybe.
“I’m an old man, you know? I don’t know what I can do now.”
He continued: “Anything is possible, you know.
“Because by doing this we have a greater exponent of charity to do so that charity can win both ways.”
Fan favorite Tyson told SunSport last month that he plans to put on his gloves again in February.
He said: “I am going to fight back in February and we are very skeptical about the opponent.
“But it would be a really provocative opponent.”
The 26-year-old has remained silent on the prospect of facing Paul Tyson, although he did reveal that he envisioned his chances against the legend after going the distance with Mayweather.
During an episode of his IMPAULSIVE podcast, he said: “Someone mentioned Mike Tyson, like how funny is this?
“One great at a time. Or is it that you can only fight one? My lawyer mentioned it and he was like, ‘No, Tyson will rip your head off, you don’t stand a chance’.
“I’m like, ‘Brother, I literally went through all this, you can’t tell me I can’t beat Mike Tyson. Brother, he’s old, old.’”
